Life aint beautiful 2

Homosexuality and anti-gay topic has been surfacing lately in Korea. A lot of people expresses there thoughts on the statement that were published in the newspaper which includes popular celebrity.
Dongwan from a popular boy band group Shinhwa from the 90s responded to the mothers across South Korea who have expressed their disapproval over SBS’s drama, ‘Life is Beautiful,’ in the advertisement featuring a homosexual couple. These mothers reacted to the cast by demanding an apology from SBS if their “sons become gay after watching the drama and die after getting AIDS.”

He responded with the following message:

I believe this is a typical example of ‘my precious child syndrome.’

There are parents who have homosexual children.
There are no lives which are not process.
The advertisement is an act of stabbing parents of homosexuals with a knife, and is an act of driving out to darker place those homosexuals who were going to come out into the light.

I am a heterosexual, and can never understand homosexual perfectly. But I know clearly that homosexuality is not a disease or an addiction. This is not something that needs a cure or medicine. Homosexuals are just people who were born with a destiny others find difficult to understand.

What we should do is not persecute them or drive them out, but help them avoid living wrong lives in dark places, and understand them. The problem of this incident is not the ignorance of a group, but like writer Kim Soohyun said, the problem is the press company that [lets even] the major newspapers accept those advertisements which don’t make any sense.

Like always….”

Homosexuality is disregarded as a disgrace to the family in this strong hold culture of strict tradition families. In a related article;
A “Superstar K-2” contestant has recently revealed that he wanted to commit suicide after coming out on the show.

Park Woosik participated in an interview with Star News on September 30th and confessed his honest feelings and frustrations: “After the episode was broadcast, over 10,000 people were googling my name and digging information about my past, saying things that should never be said.

Hateful netizens uncovered his past relationships and spread it around on various portal sites, leaving replies purposely meant to embarrass and hurt him.

How long will this go on? Till more suicides cases?
