if you like it share it please.
It does hit me when a friend of mine make me realized it.
Where will it head too? Time will come? What happens then?
I apparently can't ignored it and it does bothers me at times. Gay were not what we choose to be. We didn't ask to be that way nor born nor made that way. It's just us. We didn't have any act nor law that support us in the way we lived in. We are a step behind compared to our western counterparts.
Our country does not recognize of same-sex marriage nor the ability of adoption by gay people like us. Same-sex marriage is a civil rights, political, social, moral, and religious issue in many nations. The conflicts arise over whether same-sex couples should be allowed to enter into marriage, be required to use a different status (such as a civil union, which either grant equal rights as marriage or limited rights in comparison to marriage), or not have any such rights.
Most gays here doesn't really care about this and blog most of how their daily lives going on and etc. I choose to take a different to route and educate AND advocate my readers about your rights at some times.
The nation retains its colonial era penal code criminalizing sodomy and fundamentalist Islamic notions have a heavy influence on the nations' laws, politics, cultural norms and social attitudes.
It is found in Section 377 of the Penal Code which criminalises gay sex. That ban on sodomy ( as well as oral sex ), broadly defined to include both heterosexual and homosexual acts, with possible punishment including fines, long prison sentences and even corporal punishment.
Anyone who "voluntarily has carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal" can be jailed for 20 years and/or caned and fined under Section 377.
Section 377A ("Outrages on decency") states that:
Explanation - Penetration is sufficient to constitute the carnal intercourse necessary to the offense described in this section.Any male person who, in public or private, commits, or abets the commission of, or procures or attempts to procure the commission by any male person of, any act of gross indecency with another male person, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 2 years.
However Section 377 isn't the only act criminalising homosexuality and sodomy in Malaysia. There are also many parallel offenses under state-level syariah laws. These range from improper conduct in public spaces to sexual relations between persons of the same gender.
